First, the
new audio attributed to Bin Laden. I read that the voice attributed to Bin Laden made reference to Bush's "Decider" in this audio. The voice attributed to Bin Laden also embraces the aggressors in the Darfur genocide. It's only audio, so therefore unverifiable to the public.
This audio is also convenient to Bush, in that it ties Bin Laden to a very unpopular group, if you think it's authentic. Believe it or not, there is room to tarnish Bin Laden's already horrible reputation. Appearing to support genocide accomplishes that.
Second: Zarqawi VIDEO released. Recognizable face, voice synched to lips. According to translations, he says some things which are very convenient to Bush. Seems like he refers to things which would lead one to believe it is a recent video. Looks like he's alive. I saw a clip of the video on The Daily Show.
But what about the Washington Post Zarqawi PsyOp revelation? They published excerpts from internal Pentagon memos about the PsyOp and its domestic audience.
Theoretically, how would we reconcile these facts? Well, I mentioned two possibilities with the Zarqawi PsyOp. One was that Zarqawi was already dead, the other was that he was already in custody.
From Zarqawi is a Hoax:
"I'm going to make the case that Zarqawi is not in charge of "Al Qaeda in Iraq" and that he is either dead or has been in our custody since before we ever heard of him and his "chilling" messages."
I have said before that if you were going to do a PsyOp, using the identity of some terrorist, you would use a real terrorist who was dead or already captured.
If you used a living and free terrorist as the central figure in your PsyOp campaign, and you published fake messages in his name, he would be able to correct your fake messages with authentic ones. Therefore, he better be dead or captured so he can't blow the cover of your PsyOp. Captured is even better than dead, because you can make your own authentic Al Qaeda videos with whatever content you need him to say. When you're done using him, ideally, you would kill him.
If coalition forces come up with Zarqawi's corpse, I'll have to wonder if this video of Zarqawi was filmed while he was in US custody. If they capture him alive, I'll be less inclined to believe they always had him than if they find get him dead. The reason being, if he had been in our custody this whole time, it would be better if he were found dead is so that he can't testify.
This Zarqawi video is fresh, it's got Bush's talking points, and a living, recognizeable Zarqawi speaking them, according to all accounts I've read.
From BBC:
"Speaking Arabic in a slow monotone, the man lambasts the newly-formed Iraqi government as a US creation"
A captured and beaten man might speak in a slow monotone. I'll have to watch this video for a sign that he is doing this video on the orders of his captors, ala Jill Caroll.
Anyway, that's the latest tweak to my conspiracy theory about terrorism-related "intelligence" broadcast on our propaganda networks.
