Hi New York Kossaks:
A few things are coming up this month (which I'll detail below), but the most important and immediate one is that front-page Kossak McJoan is going to be in the City next week. Coincidentally (or perhaps not....) Armando will be in New York that weekend as well so natch, a meetup is in order.
All are welcome. Kossaks, friends of Kossaks, etc. etc. Please come! You will have fun...whether you want to or not! I kid! We're a friendly bunch and I love to show McJoan a very warm welcome to our beautiful city. Besides, would you actually miss out on the opportunity to find out what Armando looks like and sounds like in real life??
See below for details
The plan is to have a meetup on May 6th, a Saturday.
EDIT: Thanks to Kossak Jay Elias, we now have a firm meeting spot. It's called Mo Pitkins and it's at 34 Avenue A. We're going to be meeting on the 2nd floor at 5:30.
There are a couple of other things happening this month too that I wanted to get you guys to make note of:
First, Markos and Jerome are coming back to town on Tuesday May 16 and will be at the Pioneer Bar from 5:30-7:30. Drinking Liberally seems to have the organization for that under control so if you missed those two the first time they were in New York, then get out and seem them at this event.
Second, Kossak AdvisorJim will be here doing his book tour on Tuesday, May 23 and I think it would be great if we could support that by either attending his reading or perhaps taking him out for a drink after. The signing at a Greenwich Village B&N starts at 7:00 and he thinks he'll be done by 9:00.
Third, Kossak NYBri is running for a NY state Senate seat!! He's actually having a fundraiser the night that we're meeting up with McJoan, but I thought that sometime in the next couple of months we could have some sort of meetup or something for this great Kossak. If you're interested in donating to or helping out with his campaign, you can visit his Web site: http://www.keeler2006.com/
And finally, the poll questions. It's a beautiful day in New York. After I put up this diary I'm going to do some gardening. I wonder, what do you all do when following this administration gets to be too much? What's your idea of perfect downtime spent?
