The new
SUSA came out today and Bush has fallen further. In the last poll the weighted approval ratings had him at 36%, the unweighted approval rating was 38%. In the latest poll these numbers are now 33% weighted and 36% unweighted (weighted compensates for population differences between the states). In the last poll, 4 states viewed Bush with a net approval rating, 1 had him at even:
1. Utah +15% 55/40
2. Idaho +10% 53/43
3. Wyoming +10 54/44
4. Nebraska +6% 51/45
5. Oklahoma -- 48/48
Today, only 3 states approve:
1. Idaho +7 52/45
2. Utah +5 51/46
3. Wyoming +1 50/49
4. Oklahoma -3 47/51
5. Nebraska -4 47/51
Utah is obviously a huge drop--10 points in one month. Wyoming was almost as large with a 9 point drop. SUSA's polling was done on 5/6/2006 so I'm not certain whether immigration numbers are reflected.
Update:
Bumblebums pointed to a
Chris Bowers at MyDD from yesterday graphically representing the states and counties in blue and red based on these results.
Thirdparty points to the
Kansas numbers, where the split is at an all time low of 35-61.
