OK...lets be very clear:
Your failure --- your total vacillation on the issue of ENDING THE WAR NOW ... RIGHT NOW ... NOT WHEN HILLARY OR SOME OTHER RIGHT LITE CLONE RUNS FOR OFFICE ... is almost as bad as anything McCain and Lieberman has evoked in the last 3 years of Bushdom.
Get real:
American Imperialism drives the domestic agenda --- The refusal of the so-called "Progressives" within the Democratic Party to create an agenda to substantially reform Corporate State Capitalism is the fatal flaw in any Progressive reform of the American government.
i.e. WalMart - Halliburton are the products of a consciously created American mindset - fueled by the notion that in order to maintain the false fabric of capitalist success it is appropriate to:
1- Exploit the labor of the 3rd world.
2- Take whatever military measures necessary to insure that the labor remains profitable and the wealth of those nations are available for exploitation.
Iraq is the end result of this. Not only is it an island of imperial rule in the Middle East, but also a model for future geo-political intervention.
It is clear that the Corporate State's plan is to use the US and it's "allies" lives and to cause them to expend any amount of tax dollars to pursue their manifest destiny: they are not losing in Iraq.
They are creating another Imperial military fortress outpost ... they control Afghanistan ... with Israel, they are in position to control all of the Petro sources of the Middle East ... they have moved into Pakistan and India.
To continue to avoid the two main issues of our political state of being, the monstrous exploitation of US citizens by the Corporate State apparatus and its military imperialism, is simply to fail in the development of a progressive movement.
Neither the conventional Al Gore nor real Hillary Clinton will take on that apparatus. Only a new progressive movement led by new progressive leadership can do that.
If it is truly your task to develop such a movement rather than yet another quasi-liberal Democratic Party ploy for power, now is the time to start.
Demand that the war be ended now! That ALL US forces and their mercenaries be removed from the Middle East NOW!
Do that and you will find out who are the friends of our citizens and who are our true enemies: Lieberman and his closet clones in the party will come out with Bush masks on ... then just follow the money!
