Here in N Virginia, the polls opened at 6 AM. I was the 2nd of 3 people on line when the polls opened. As of the 3rd voter, the count was Dean 3, everyone else nothing. Further, the only candidate with signs up in the parking lot was Dean. Finally, the man on line ahead of me had a list of all Dean "1's" in the precinct [about 40] -- I'm not sure how many people will vote in the primary, in a general election we normally get about 600, and I would expect a turnout of around 20-25%, which would keep us someplace in 20's if all of our one's turn out. I will try to post the results after our polls close.
Here in Arlington VA the organization is quite good. We have I believe 3 different Meetups (in a county with under 200,000 people). In my precinct, I was called once each by Kerry and Edwards, received literature in the mail from Edwards, and had my door knocked by Clark. I have been called 3 times by dean (granted, I am listed as a volunteer, and they were trying to get me to work today, but as soon as I finish this post I ahve to get to work since I teach not here but in Maryland, so I have school today).
I have not yet heard the radio ads, but I will have WTOP on during the 35 minutes it takes me to drive to work.
We will get delegates in N VA, and I have my fingers corssed that we will finish ahead not only of Sharpton state-wide but possibly also of Clark.
