I don't know if folks were disheartened by the latest Fox poll which had Bush back at 38%, but it doesn't seem to be an omen or anything.
Its just Fox being Fox.
The AP-Ipsos has overwhelmingly bad internals for the GOP this November, with a record 51% of those polled wanting the Dems to win Congress vs. 34% wanting GOPers.
This isn't a very substantial diary, but I thought that folks should be heartened by these numbers. Pollwatchers like me are at least.
IMHO, we are FINALLY watching the Zeitgeist Shift on Bush unfold. The polls are not the only evidence for that, though. Nor are rising gas prices

People are speaking truth to power, and EVERYONE is talking about it. It can't be suppressed. Bush is no longer trusted and respected by voting Americans. By contrast, the Kennedy Ambien trip chatter is already dying down.
Remember how EVERYONE discussed Watergate?
That happens when people become more afraid of the future of the country than they are of speaking out.
This kind of thing is irreversible, because it changes the basic frame of reference of conversation.
