I'm posting some pics and outting my roommate, and saying I can't believe how wonderful YearlyKos was (Was! Waaah!) It was so professionally run; there was nothing cheap or unprofessional about it.
Our unifying quality: passion.
I have never before been to a convention or meeting where I felt so sure that ideas and visions would be implemented, and I've been to some truly evangelical conventions. To be honest, I was scared there might be manifestations of online bickering in fisticuffs! Instead, I saw nothing but respect for all the panelists and speakers, and a serious eagerness to learn and discuss as much as we could. I think it's our passion that allows me to say I love who we are. We have quirks. I am sometimes easily annoyed by trivial things. None of that mattered and it doesn't matter now. Kossacks, I've got your back.
My roommate was Wisvoter (right), someone I found on either a Flying Solo or Wallflower diary. We got along well and in fact we both wondered about the serendipity of being so compatible. We did not annoy each other. Thanks, Wisvoter, for offering your room and for laughing with me.
This is the temperature gauge on my car today. I had stopped at the appropriately named Baker, CA:
Ice sculptures at the Stratosphere party, through which your drinks were poured:

My badge. Someday I will auction it for lots of money on Ebay:
