Miss Coulter spelled out her true agenda and how her mind works on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the June 14, 2006, episode. When pressed about the fact that perhaps her harsh tone and words probably lost her underlying point from host Jay Leno, she provided her true agenda, which many people know.
Join me past the links, will you?
She responded that liberals drag out victims in order to get their agendas out, instead of having Howard Dean or others like him say those things. They do this "because we can't attack them like we can attack Dean" (paraphrased). Also that liberals don't take offense to the "Godless" title.
Okay, so her point isn't the argument that she tried to paint in the book, that no one "can respond" to the women. She's been pointed out on so many shows that people HAVE responded, so I guess this argument is gone.
No, it's ATTACK. That's her whole point. She and the right-wing nuts like her don't want to debate, don't want to argue the points. They want to ATTACK. And attacking victims is so bad. OF COURSE IT IS.
Also, people aren't taking offense to the Godless title because it's not the offensive part of the book. Her argument for this is similar to not getting mad about the rape because the police are focusing on the murder, therefore rape must be all right with them.
Her book is nothing but lies and attacks from what she HERSELF has been pushing about it. Perhaps I should grab a copy from the library to look through it, judge for myself her written words. It's obvious she doesn't mean what she writes down, and only does it because the controversy sells the books.
Deep down she has a worse agenda: hate, defame and attack those who disagree with her. Don't respond, attack. Don't use logic or reason, claim "liberals" do it or "liberals" don't do it and you think it gives you the high road.
And the shot back to Carlin was priceless. She admitted she has never been on television with a smart liberal, but then said until she was on with Carlin. But that snarl he had about being with her, listening to her stupidity, it was obvious.
Guess now she can't use the catch-all "no liberals" or "all liberals" without including Carlin, since she identifies him as a liberal.
Good job, Coulter, for spilling your true agenda. Most of us knew it, but now you've been recorded saying it.
UPDATE: From the comments by ladydawg: She caught a possible slip of the tongue. When Leno pointed out that calling women "broads" was part of the whole "message being lost because of the tone" discussion he tried to have, Coulter replied to the effect that "broad was a term men use for women all the time." Was she saying something about herself, or just a poorly worded attack on men?
UPDATE II: Another point for ladydawg: The Henry Rollins reference above below is from: http://youtube.com/watch?v=z9fQAQenllo&search=Henry%20Rollins
And before anyone else raises an objection, the "Tranny" reference above below is from "The Stephanie Miller Show", not from me. Alien's been among editorial cartoons and even Leno himself. And the rest, well... *shrugs* Take your pick!
UPDATE III: Here's the You Tube post of the interview last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M56HQRovUqA&search=Coulter%20Leno
