Now that the Capitol Hill Police and judicial individuals have decided not to indict Rep. Cynthia McKinney for the Capitol Hill incident with the police, where's her apology?
http://www.cnn.com/...
Where's the apology for calling her loony?
Where's the apology for racially profiling her?
Where's the apology for the obvious double-standard between how she was treated when she tried to enter the building to do her damned job, and when Rep. Patrick Kennedy crashed his car on Capitol Hill and they took him home without giving him a breathalyzer test or booking him for DUI?
Why aren't they indicting her? Seemed to be gun ho about slinging her in jail, just in time for her primary. And there's a pattern with members of Congress who are doing their jobs and catching hell; either with negative press, or facing lawsuits when they should be trying to focus on their primaries:
Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) being sued
Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) being sued by former employees
Rep. McKinney (D-GA) see above
It's the same thing that happened to Max Cleland, and every time someone clapps eyes on Saxby Chambless, you should be giving him hell for how he treated a Vietnam-era vet who left three limbs on the field.
And let's not talk about Jack Murtha, Lynn Woolsey or Louise Slaughter - all got slung under the political bus by Nancy Pelosi engaging in her own version of circular firing squad, and at the same time, fighting off Steny Hoyer sticking that knife in her back.
Most telling is the following paragraph:
After hearing testimony from at least four congressional aides who saw the incident, the grand jury declined to return an indictment, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Attorney's office.
Some of those aides testified that they heard McKenna say "Here she comes; I'm gonna 'get her'". Now why would he say "I'm gonna get her" if she wasn't being targeted by the Capitol Hill Police because of her race?
No, you don't see that in the CNN article. I got that from direct Hill sources.
What's that silence I'm hearing? John Aravosis shutting the hell up, perhaps? Delaware Dem, you want to have a rational discussion of this issue, now?
The lady deserves an apology, and if you can't acknowledge how the Capitol Hill police has royally made an ass of itself, well...
And the icing on the cake - they decline to indict her one day after Jefferson's forced off Ways and Means, with the CBC members rushing to protect him and looking like straight-up fools with votes for sale to the highest bidder.
Oh, yeah, McKinney voted to help save Jefferson's ass, but when she needed his vote, Jefferson was MIA.
So, once again, WHERE'S MCKINNEY'S APOLOGY?
