The Mass Media in this country has taken a beating in recent years, and deservedly so. After all, the media has let President Syphillis get away with murder. They've let him get away with sending us to "war" under false pretenses. And, have not really step up to the plate and question the motives of the proposed flag-burning amendment.
So, I finding humorous that George Bush would call the actions of the New York Times "disgraceful" when he and his cabal of theives have done their damndest to sanitize media coverage of their crooked ways.
In the wake of 9/11, the Bush administration benefited greatly from the media's lack of testicular fortitude. If one demanded answers, that individual would've been labeled as a un-patriotic sycophant.
Now, that the mass media is starting to realize that indeed they do have a set of balls, the Bush administration is on the defense. Rallying their base to stomp out the "Liberal Boogeyman" that lurks in the hallways of the New York Times.
One of the funniest things I heard during President Bush's moanfest of a Press Conference was "Were at War."
Really?
You know, I might be a dumb liberal who hates this country, but I seem to recall during history classes throughout the years that Congress is supposed to declare war.
The Neo-Cons in the White House invaded Iraq and used the 9/11 attacks as their bridge. Claiming that Saddam and Bin Laden were joined at the hip, when the evidence clearly states that Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein weren't even good buddies.
The Iraq war isn't a war, it's an invasion.
The Iraq invasion.
All the New York Times did was do its job. Inform Americans that Bush and his crooked cronies are tapping into are private lives without the neccessary warrants. Bush knows he's guilty as sin, but his "anger" was more to bring out the wackos in his base to stand behind the GOP during this election year.
It's almost an inherit trait of Conservatives. To cry wolf when the media actually reports the truth and not fairy tales.
The New York Times is evil.
That's according all right-wing sycophants who claim that the paper's reporting is putting all Americans in danger.
No, that would be sending troops to Iraq under false pretenses. Causing Al-Qaeda to penetrate and recruit members to join their pathetic Jihad.
If the Right-Wing wants to blame somebody for putting Americans in danger, they should throw it all on President Bush. His actions aren't making us any safer in this country. And, giving up freedoms for temporary security proves once again that the terrorists are winning.
Declaring war on the media for doing its job doesn't win you any points. It makes you look weak. And, of course George Bush is a weak President and human being.
After all, this was the same President Bush who said months back that he would let another President decide if troops can come home or not.
I believe that's your job, George. Not the guy who's going to win 2008 or 2012.
The New York Times shouldn't be swayed by jingoistic slugs who've never, ever served a day in their lives in the U.S. Military. Their job is to inform the public if what this ghastly and treasonous administration is doing, allegedly to protect the welfare of all Americans.
Treasonous, that's a big word.
I seemed to believe that's the word that's been used to describe the individual who outed CIA operative Valerie Plame to punish her husband for speaking out. The same indvidual who's working for the Bush Administration.
Look at yourself in the mirror gentlemen before you can call the New York Times treasonous.
