(For those of you who do not know, Rupert Murdoch owns Fox News. You know, home of unbiased news. They report - we decide.)
Buying the largest online community, MySpace, old Rupert is doing an end around on Democrats and democracy. Now, they are taking their fascist show to the internet, democracy's last bastion. This is bigger news than the obscene $ it took to buy it. It tells me Rupert and his pocket pugs are getting wise to the internet. And we should be damned worried about it because this is big, bad news for democracy.

Is'nt there something intrinsically diabolical about the largest democratized community on the web being OWNED by the biggest corporate media fascist ever?
But there is opportunity as well.
1) Vote with your mouse. A mass exodus of MySpace would leave Murdoch holding a 1/2 billion dollar bag o' crap. If you are a MySpacer I'd ask that you kindly find another online space to hang your hat - preferably run by someone who truly believes in the democratic spirit.
Update : It seems as though you need to know someone to get into orkut. What kind of republican stuff is that :?)
(I'm calling Google to task here (who had a chance to buy MySpace for just 1/2 the 1/2 billion). Help bring MySpace users to Orkut
http://www.orkut.com/. I know you can do it. Show your democratic colors! It'll be good for business and even if it is not it is still the right thing to do. Do no evil. But fight it too.)
2) Or, start our own, rightfully democratic, community much like Kos but more fun.(no offense, I think Kos is NECESSARY medicine) Even if it takes giving the people what they want but also includes some neat functions like, 'Where should I vote', 'Who I'm voting for and why', 'Which <strike>republican</strike> politician is raping you today?' hidden, conspicuously in the corners.
Otherwise, I can just see the blinking Terror Alert on the MySpace home page. The closer we get to an election the more scary it will get. And you thought those viagra pop ups were bad? Wait and see.
