From the YearlyKos staff, I wanted to give the Daily Kos community a quick heads up regarding CSpan. The current recommended diary entitled "CSpan to Cover YearlyKos" is not 100% accurate. CSpan is not yet confirmed, and it is not clear what parts of the convention, if any, will actually appear on CSpan.
More importantly, however, is the fact that, even if CSpan covers YearlyKos, they will only be covering a small part of the convention. CSpan, at most, will be covering one panel discussion at a time, so if there's a particular panel discussion that you REALLY REALLY want to see, you will only have a 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 chance of seeing it on CSpan.
Which is why, if you really want to watch YearlyKos on TV, the way to go is Air America.
As Air America's
Sam Seder wrote yesterday:
Air America is announcing tomorrow that we're going to stream, live, video of all the major panels and speakers from the YearlyKos Convention, "gavel-to-gavel" from Thursday night through Sunday. At many points throughout the conference, there will be 3 live video streams going on at once.
For people who are already Air America Premium members (podcast download service plus other video), the whole thing is free.
Thus, Air America will at all times be covering the three main sessions, meaning that if there is a panel you absolutely positively must see, you can be assured that you will see it on Air America. SO, if you can't make it to the convention, but you want to watch it on the TeeVee, Air America is the only way to go. You can sign up for the service here.
Oh, and you'll also be supporting progressive media if you sign up. And it's only $10.
If you could recommend this diary in order to "correct the record," it would be much appreciated.
Update [2006-6-6 17:20:58 by pontificator]: Since this diary is on the recommended list, I'll point out that TODAY is the LAST day for discounted registration. So if you want to attend and don't want to pay full price, then today's the day to close the deal.
