Al Gore has hit town to visit with Wal-Mart directors, and watch "An Inconvenient Truth" with them...Hillary comes to town Saturday night, and can expect a bi-partisan welcome-party...
HILL AND AL UPDATEThe Republicans have Zell Miller coming to town, last night they paraded Rudy! around to raise money...now we've stumbled across a couple of other items in regards to both of this week's high-profile celebrities in Northwest Arkansas.
First, we told you a little more about Hillary Clinton's visit to Rogers Saturday night, and we mentioned some GOP protestors...either we got it wrong, or Hill can expect protestors from the liberal side of the aisle as well. Take a look at the flyers to your left -- yep,
the Omni Center will protest at the event to voice displeasure over the war and Ms. Clinton's support for it.
As for Mr. Gore, we've heard rumors he'll attend an evening showing of his movie in Fayetteville, but that may simply be hot air, without any confirmation. However, we do know when and where the show will take place...
here's more...
The documentary " An Inconvenient Truth" will be shown for free on a firstcome, first-served basis at 7: 15 p. m. Tuesday at Fiesta Square 16 Cinemas in Fayetteville.
Funds for the screening came from a group made of business owners, at least one local politician, and members from Audubon Arkansas, the Sierra Club and the OMNI Center for Peace, Justice and Ecology. They share the belief that the Al Gore film presents the issue and a solution in an easily accessible package.
Again, first come, first served. See you there...
