...we have Alan Schlesinger. (Ever hear of him? I sure haven't, not on this site anyway... not that I'm surprised by that one) I don't live in Connecticut, and I will admit to not paying much attention to the race outside of the Democratic primary. Let's face it, that's where all the fireworks are. That all said, I think it's worth taking a quick look at what Schlesinger's been doing lately... or rather, should I say, what he did last decade.
More on the flip side...
I don't understand the Congressional obsession with online gambling, but I think they might do better to regulate it offline. Then again, if they did, it might serve to encourage the kind of behavior that just could get Alan Schlesinger in trouble in November.
Turns out the CT GOP is a little scared now, because Schlesinger used a fake name to gamble at Foxwoods casino during the 1990s. They're scared enough to ask him to drop out of the race. Schlesinger, in turn, tells them to buzz off:
"I am not going to let this bother me," Schlesinger said. "I am going to continue in the race."
I apologize if somebody diaried about this before. I looked on the Diaries page and didn't see anything, so I hope I can assume that I'm the first to break this story here? If not, feel free to delete this diary.
