I'm just finishing, "Bush on the couch: Inside the mind of the President", by Justin A. Frank MD. Frank is a very credible phycho-analyst and in this book analyzes Bush utilizing effective methods employed by the CIA to evaluate foreign heads of state, etc. Most likely many of you are aware of the book but I wonder how many posters and diarists here at dKos have actually read it. Much of the bashing and criticisms offered here seems to me to not quite understand the President's mental health and how his personality drives everything in the White House, Washington, and the rest of the world.
Please follow beyond the fold.
To put it bluntly, but using Dr. Frank's words, Bush is a sadist, a megalomaniac, and a psychopath. He feels he is free to act outside the law and experience for he, and his family by the way, have shown this to be so. He is dangerous to all around him and especially to those he deems a threat to him, or to expose him, or to embarrass him. In his rather primitive binary mind, you truly are either with him 100% or against him and his enemy. As the most powerful man in the world he is a threat to the rest of the planet too. Dr. Frank goes into detail, draws on the enormous amount of information available about Bush and his family, and minces no words.
Bush is the driver behind everything that comes out of the administration - have no doubt about that. He is not a puppet. Understanding the man is essential if we want to understand our present government, the fundamentalists, and the right wing conservatives, and to evaluate the risks to us, and to everyone and thing Bush may have some influence over.
Understanding Bush correctly allows us to focus our efforts where they really ought to be aimed, and that is on exposing Bush as the psychopath, and therefore dangerous man, he is. MSM will not do it because they know he will retaliate. So much for their bravery and sacrifice for the country.
Much of this you know already but knowing why, and being able to explain it to others, and use it in our writings, is where the power of this knowledge really is. If you've gotten this far, thanks and good reading.
