Time is up Joe Lieberman, you phony immoral scoundrel who cares only about JOe Lieberman and not the people of Connecticut. YOur time is up not because of your position on Iraq but because you have no integrity.
Joe Lieberman, you are the biggest hypocrite and liar I've seen in the longest time. You send literature to voters claiming to be a "scathing critic of the administration" only to be its most ardent repeater of their talking points. You claim to be a "conservative democrat" to your buddies like Hannity and Russert only to send out press releases claiming to be a "progressive Democrat."
Joe, you simply can't tell the truth. It is no big deal that you and George kissed each other. But when you felt denial was beneficial, you lied about it. Joe, you finished in a distant 5th place in the New Hampshire primary. But instead of saying you finished 5th, you claimed that you finished "in a three way photo finish for 3rd." What is that called Joe? It's called lying.
When you ran against Republican Lowell Wiecker in 1988, you expertly pretended to be a liberal Democrat in front of liberal audiences and a conservative in front of Republican audiences. It worked. In 1994 you shifted your positions again based on which way the wind was blowing. By the late 1990s you saw polls and a chance to rise to prominence so you played the part of "Holy Joe," the moral crusader against Bill Clinton's private life all while voting with Clinton in the end. That helped get you the 2000 VP nomination, as you brilliantly foresaw. But to be palatable to the base, you decided that the small handful of conservative intellectual positions you possessed had to be changed. So overnight, you agreed with the Democratic base on basically every single issue. That doesn't make you a progressive Joe, it makes you a liar.
So 2004 came along and your internal pollsters said that the only way you could get the Democratic nomination was to pretend to be the outsider or independent. So you morphed yourself into George W Bush, sucked up to Sean Hannity, and bashed Democrats. It backfired. You closely studied Zell Miller and realized that if you could be Zell Lite, you could end up on TV a lot more. So you became Zell Lite. You supported government getting involved in Terri Schiavo's hospital bed and helped George Bush put extremists on the Court. You opposed allowing women who have been raped to get an abortion at the nearest hospital you sick man. You supported Bush's middle class tax increases which gave away our treasury to the uber-rich. You supported Bush's plans to systematically deregulate environmental protection. You support allowing HMOs to kill people solely because the insurance companies in Hartford line your pockets. I can't imagine Jack Kennedy saying, "Ask not what the HMO's can do for you but what you can do for the HMO's."
Joe, you got lots of kisses and flowers from Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin but you didn't realize that these Eva Braun wannabes don't speak for 80% of Americans and they certainly don't speak for Connecticut Democrats. And somehow Democrats in Connecticut decided to do something about it. It's called democracy Joe. It's called "spreading freedom." It's called "liberty." And you got pissed off when people decided to actually put these concepts into action.
You never took Ned Lamont seriously. You are well aware that it is almost impossible to knock off an incumbent Senator in a primary so you welcomed the challenge and called for party unity no matter who wins. At the time your polls said that you would win but now you want to run as a "petitioning Democrat" if you lose. Your stance changed only because your internal polls say you are going to lose. You lack the integrity to stand by your original position.
Joe, you can't even have an honest debate. I heard you tell Sean Hannity that Republicans never blocked judicial nominees of Clinton. It was a lie and you knew it but you cared more about pleasing his audience than you did the truth. You bash Ned Lamont as a one issue candidate fully aware that his campaign is about dozens of issues, not one. You criticize Democrats as weak on terror yet it is Democrats who support going after Osama Bin Laden and his Saudi financiers while it is your buddy George Bush who just closed down the CIA unit in charge of finding Osama Bin Laden.
Joe, opposition to you comes not only from a few "left wingers" but also from progressives, liberals, moderates, reasonable conservatives, and yes die in the wool Republicans. They oppose you not because they disagree with Joe, we all agree with you on a few issues. They oppose you because you represent the worst traits of a politician; dishonest, sanctimonious, power hungry, immoral, and rotten to the core. I'm sure Fox News will have a job waiting for you in January when Ned Lamont is serving his constituents in the Senate.
