It was great to get out and walk a parade and talk to real people. I was in the Clawson parade where we also had a booth and stayed until after the awesome fireworks. Lots of politicians were there too - our fabulous Governor and both Senators, Congressman Levin, soon to be state senator Andy Levin and myself of course. A highlight of the day was when I went up to my opponent, Joe Knollenberg, and shook his hand. I was very cordial and just introduced myself. Joe told me he knew my brother. But when one of his own staffers jumped in to take a picture, he was concerned that it not be political. I pointed out that it was his team member, not mine, so I guess that made it OK. Wondering what he was so concerned about the picture for?
