I remember growing up in the South. I remember getting into fight
constantly because kids would start with my friends, and it wasn't until years later that I understood that they did it because my friends were black.
Honestly, it seemed like such a stupid reason to fight, I could never make heads or tales of it: even in the third grade, I knew that we were all the same: what was wrong with these people?
Was it culture? Were they beaten at home, and have anger to piss-off? Were they just stupid? What, exactly, was it? I've wondered then, and I wonder now, and I still don't really know.
But. I did know where they grew these people(Lubbuck, Tx). I just didn't know why. Well, it seems that I was wrong about where they grew them.: that is, Lubbuck isn't the only place they sprout..more on the fold.
Apparently, one of these hateful, petty losers has taken over as a bus driver for the ) school district in Louisiana. Even worse, she's been allowed to sit the black kids at the back on the bus as a matter of policy.
From the from AP article.
Two mothers, both black, sparked the investigation with a complaint on Monday that their children and the other black children had been ordered to sit in two rows of seats in the rear of the bus.
But wait! maybe this is just a case of trouble'makin moms....
"In all these years, I've never had a problem like this," said Janice Williams, whose four children ride public school buses.
well, maybe the bus driver did it out of safely concerns for the children: after all, they were all probably toddlers
One of her children, Jarvonica Williams, 16,
I mean...um, maybe white students weren't treated any better
said the bus driver allowed many white students to have seats all to themselves while some blacks were forced to stand or sit in others' laps.
oh. hmm. Well, it's probably an isolated incident.
Iva Richmond, whose 14- and 15-year-old children were on the bus, said Thursday that they previously had a black bus driver, but their bus assignment changed this year.
well...for all we know, that bus driver was black too!
When school started this month, the white driver told them she had assigned them seats, with the black children at the back of the bus.
Hmmf! I'll bet that black family never even tried working through the proper channels
The women said their complaints to parish school officials were not immediately addressed.
So what's the big deal? They probably got plenty of room back there.
"All nine children were assigned to two seats in the back of the bus and the older ones had to hold the smaller ones in their laps," she said.
