Notice the drop off from the Senate race to the tight Governor's race. Over 13,000 people voted for Senate, and then left the voting booth. This is something like 4 times the margin between DeStefano and Malloy. Those people are, more likely than not, first time or infrequent voters who showed up just to vote AGAINST Lieberman, and for Lamont.
Usually there is a little drop off from high profile to down ballot races-- but this is on the order of 5% from one top ticket race to another. If the Governor's race was listed first on the ballot, this drop off was even more striking.
Given that the margin between Lieberman and Lamont is less than 60% of the total drop off from Senate to Governor, one can safely say that Lamont's GOTV outdid Lieberman's.
