For Santorum, Race Momentum Swings
This Santorum strategy seemed to have begun this week with a bogus
rumor
that has led to a new narrative that Casey is losing ground. This rumor stated that Casey's internal polling had shown an evaporation of his double-digit lead. Now, coincidentally, we have a
new 3 week old poll (Keystone Polling) showing Casey going down 50% to 44%. Coincidence? Maybe I should just retire the tinfoil hat. I'd like to know more about Keystone polling (PA Kossacks chime in.) More below.
Mara would
love to see Casey lose. Here she is, again, chipping in and trying to "make" news. I mean, just look at the title. They interview some lukewarm voters, blah blah blah, horserace crap. No substance at all. Here is her analysis of Santorum: "Conservatives love him, liberals dispise him."
Can we agree that anytime More-a-Liarsson comes on the radio, we can safely switch her off?
Update [2006-9-12 20:25:25 by benheeha]:: As Irfo notes below, Mara is touting 3-week (i.e. PRE-Labor Day) numbers as some kind of seismic shift. Another poll from the same period, however, showed the race at 56-38 percent. That's quite a big difference, and just a little bit (teensie bit) disingenuous on Liarsson's part to claim a trend. Shame-shame on you, Mara. Have you no decency?
