56 Days...
That's it, 56 days and the elections will be over. The decisions made in the coming weeks will influence our lives for the next 2-4 years and beyond.
What are you doing about it? Are you volunteering for a candidate or local committee? Do you know how to contact your local committee or your candidates?
More below, including links to candidate and party sites.
It only takes a few hours of volunteering to make a difference. It is too important to stay on the sidelines this year. None of us what to look back and think "what could I have done to help?" With no elections in 2007, you have plenty of time to recharge. We cannot overlook any voter in any precinct. We must get the vote out.
If your candidate did not win the primary, get over it. Get out there and support our Democratic ticket. Even if your county voted 75% republican last time get out there and make it 70% this time. That additional 5% will help our statewide candidates. Do not give an inch. Fight for every vote.
Most `casual' voters are more in tune with the national events rather than local ones. We should be able to create some coat-tail effect for our statewide and local candidates if we raise the awareness of our congressional candidates. We all know the focus to date has been on the Marshall and Barrow races. That's not good enough! We need to promote our entire slate of Democrats. If you have a safe district, help out a neighboring district.
All of our candidates also need MONEY! If you can't spend a couple hours volunteering send CASH!
I have included a bunch of contact information below.
Call, email or log on to get more information. The state party site has a contact page for every county committee http://www.democraticpartyofgeorgia.org/...
