Since you last heard from me, we are closing in on our goal of raising $25,000 to get our attack ad on cable TV. In less than two weeks we have raised $5,128.25. With your help we have the Goper's in Fort Bend County running scared. Even Gov. Rick Perry is worried about Fort Bend.

The Fort Bend Herald, Fort Bend County's largest newspaper, reported last Friday that the local republicans are terrified of us democrats.
"The Democratic Party in Fort Bend County this year is well funded and has been highly active, said more than one Republican candidate at the Fort Bend County Republican Party Executive Committee meeting..."
You see, since old Tom Delay has run off to Virginia, the local Gopers have lost their #1 funding source and fund-raiser. Plus they are badly split from the David Wallace v. Sekula Gibbs fiasco. Heck, even Gov. Good Hair is worried:

"Even Gov. Rick Perry has expressed concerns about the state of the party in Fort Bend County..."
For the first time since I have lived here (almost 12 years) the Democrats have four wonderful county-wide candidates, Neeta Sane, Veronica Torres, Albert Hollan, and Rudy Velasquez. And let's not forget State Rep. Dora Olivo and Commissioner Grady Prestage. These candidates along with Nick Lampson (the man that ran off old Tom) and Shane Sklar are going to make sure that we turn Fort Bend Blue.
The grass roots have been active, the Fort Bend County Democratic Party has sent out mail ballot applications for over 3,000 over 65 "D's" and will be send out three (3) separate mail pieces to turn out the vote to over 25,000 "D's".
The Fort Bend Democrats have produced a very effective attack ad that will be running on cable TV in Fort Bend County. You can see the ad here.
