Remember.
You may have heard. Liberty died today. She went quietly - sixty-six people decided it was for the best. They decided for us all. Freedom is just a little less important than safety, fear is easier to live with than dissent, power more lovely, more seductive than due process, the Constitution, precedent, and unalienable rights.
Remember.
Ask your friends. Do they know what occurred today? Do they know that Liberty has passed on? Do they know what it means? Mine didn't. Tell them, spread the word. Let the world know and let the world know that you miss her.
Remember.
She was beautiful while she lasted. But she did not last long enough. She was not strong enough. Liberty had her champions, of course - but among the mighty, not many anyway. There were not nearly enough.
Remember.
Do you remember her? Will you honor her? Will you fight for her? It's not too late. She may be gone for now, but we can bring her back. We can bring a new Liberty to this land.
Remember.
Carper, Johnson, Landrieu, Lautenberg, Lieberman, Menendez, Nelson (Fla.), Nelson (Neb.), Pryor, Rockefeller, Salazar and Stabenow. These are the people who said they were righteous, who said they would fight for Liberty, who said they loved her as much as we do. They were the ones who claimed to respect her and respect all people. They claimed to be for the masses. But their actions speak far louder than words.
Remember.
Remember Liberty and remember the ones who killed her. Remember them and fight them for all you're worth. Make every vote count and make every vote count against them. They rely on us for their power - show them that we remember Liberty and we will bring her back.
