With Labor Day behind us, we're now in the home stretch of the election -- with just over 60 days to go before Election Day.
We have a real shot to win in Montana. Polls show Sen. Burns and I neck and neck, with our campaign gaining momentum by the day. But Sen. Burns and the Beltway Republicans are desperately scrambling to keep this seat and they are using all the power, connections, and money they have to do it.
Just look at this list of Washington politicians who've been to Montana or are on the way:
Vice President Dick Cheney
First Lady Laura Bush
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist
Senator Pete Dominici
Senator John Warner
They may have Republican bigwigs, but we have the facts and a grassroots campaign on our side. I've asked for your contribution before and you've come through for me. This time, I need you to go one step further to move the campaign forward.
I'm blogging on Daily Kos today to invite all of you to host house parties on September 30th to help us Turn Montana Blue. The rest of the country will be joining us to help Turn Montana Blue by signing up to host a house
party. Please open your home for a house party and invite friends over to hear why turning Montana blue is so critical to winning the Senate back this year.
I'm going to join all the house parties by conference call at 5pm Mountain Time.
I hope you will sign up to host a party, or that you will be
attending one in your community. Your party doesn't have to be fancy and we'll give you all the online tools you need to manage it. In fact, you can sign up right now and send your friends save the date invitations.
These are greassroots parties and we're encouraging EVERYONE to host a party-whether that's a few people around your dining room table or a backyard barbecue with all your friends, family, and co-workers.

I'm looking forward to taking questions from people at the party... and I'm going to stay online for about 15 minutes right now if you're ready to get the conversation started!
Thank you for all that you do--
Jon Tester
