As a white suburban mom with white surburban kids working in a white suburban school I am getting really sick and tired of bash the white surburban lifestyle thingy as it pertains to bullying, ostracizing and Cho.
I invite you to read below.
For a few weeks now I have listened to various pundits and read various postings here, there and everywhere slamming white people, especially those of us who live in the Suburbs. Well I am here to tell you that I love living in the suburbs and nothing anyone posts here can change my mind.
It smells good here and it is quiet. I don't have to worry about someone breaking into my house now, since I moved here, unlike when we lived in a city neighborhood. No more middle of the night banging on the door by some cracked-out moron looking for someone who gave him the wrong address.
When we moved out of the city it was amazing!!! No more beer bottles pitched over our fence, no more drunks pissing all over our vehicles, no more asking me how much I charge for oral sex whilst walking my children around the block. I can walk the dog and when passing by someone they just ***(gasp)*** say Hello!!!!
I have had it with postings blaming suburban dwellers for Cho's actions. I have had it with blaming white people for Imus' comments. I am sick to death of hearing about suburban white kids being responsible for the popularity of gangsta rap. Not to mention global warming, the retail cost of jeans and why Dale Earnhart Jr's car sucks.
What next will surburban white people be blamed for?
Heck, we are Wonder Bread, boring, bland, you name it. Our neighborhoods are supposedly sterile. So, why do so many people strive to live here?
