There seems to be three pretty established views on the Iraq war.
- We're kicking ass and need to stick it out until we catch the MF's who crashed the World Trade Center and find their hordes of WMD's. This seems to be the dominent position of Joe Lieberman and the Republican party.
What are the other two? Read on and take the poll.
- Get out of Iraq now. Do not pass go or any sustaining legislation that funds this idiotic war. Exercise that little known federal law that in time of war, makes every US airlines planes subject to use for troop movement, and start landing them suckers pulling our troops out. I give you 72 hours. The main proponents of this position seem to be Kossacks and other thinking and passionate progressives, very few of which are elected officials. Most are Democrats.
- We, the undersigned opposed the war. We want our troops out. We need to confirm exactly how long that will take so that we can insure those Iraqi's that worked with us won't be subject to a bloodbath when we leave. We might wish to schedule a controlled withdraw to Kuwait and safe areas in the south and north and then finally extracting our troops and our material within one year of the election of the next US President, whoever she may be. These people also are mostly Democrats with a few maverick GOPPER's and those running for re-election in 2008.
So, what do we have here? Republicans want to continue the war. Democrats want to end the war. Democrats are not in agreement when or how to end this war, but viewpoints within the party are essentially anti-war.
So, where do you stand...better yet, jump into the Poll, the water's fine
