We were at the march today with possum (Jerry Northington, kos blogger who is running for Congress in Delaware) and other Kossacks as they protested the war and demanded impeachment. The crowd was larger than I had expected -- easily over 100,000. It's 2:30 am and I marched for miles today, so I'll let these images speak for themselves.
Join me after the jump.
Update [2007-9-16 11:35:26 by Sycamore]: Next month, United for Peace and Justice and others will be holding other protests to keep up the pressure.
October 22 there will be "No War, No Warming," a national intervention to fight climate change, not wars for oil.
Whether you came this weekend or not, and whether you have ever been to a protest or not, join fellow patriotic Americans on October 27 for a National Mobilization to End the War.
If you can't come to D.C., you can find an anti-war event in your area.
The time for business as usual is over. Your brothers and sisters are dying in Iraq, so the least you can do is to get out on the streets and make your voice heard! [end of update]

You Go, Girlfriends!
"In a press interview as he left office, [Karl Rove] gave the Democrats some free advice. He described his politics as building on the energy of the base of the Republican Party and expanding it outward. He mentioned that the Democrats could build on the energy of their base, like the "Pink Ladies," he said, referring to the Code Pink women who dogged him until the day he left office." -- Medea Benjamin
