We've come to a point where the President of the United States is willing to send thousands of young men and women to their deaths in order to salvage whatever creditiblity he has left.
We've come to a point where this same President is willing to take responsibility for the complete mishandling of the war effort, but not apologize to the nation for deliberately lying about the reasons why we went to war.
We've come to a point where even though President Bush has admitted that victory won't be achieved the way our fathers and grandfathers achieved it, he still is offering a sequel to the disastrous "stay the course," policy. A policy that not only will mean defeat for the United States but add insult to injury.
And we've come to a point where the President will use weary and restless troops to kick start a conflict with both Iran and Syria.
Where does it end Mr. President?
How many more American deaths will it take before your conscience starts to take over? 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 25,000, or the dreaded 50,000.
Why should we waste the best and brightest that our country has to offer to give breathing space to a government that turned a simple execution into a vengeful lynching act?
If you think that anyone watching that charade on Wednesday night came out with a feeling of confidence in the commander-in-chief, then you're as disillusional as the Supreme Court justices who handed you the Presidency 7 years ago.
On Wednesday night the commander-in-chief didn't appear on television as advertised.
I watched a nervous, frightened middle-aged man posing as the President of the United States presenting a plan that will not only ensure billions of dollars spent, but thousands of American and Iraqi casualities.
From that moment on Mr. Bush, I've come to the defintive conclusion that you weren't meant to be President. That your Presidency is nothing more than a sham.
For 7 years you've portrayed yourself as a tough talking Texan who'll fix the world by eliminating the evildoers from this stage.
Yet sir you're not only bad at playing President, but terrible at playing a cowboy. You're a bootleg cowboy, Mr. Bush.
And now America's favorite "bootleg cowboy" wants us to trust him at the most crucial moment in our history.
Sir your lack of confidence and creditibility is all that we need to judge you by.
The game is over.
Even you know it.
But it won't matter.
The guarantee is that the 44th President, whomever it may be, will be left to ponder on how to clean up the mess you created with your lack of leadership skills. And willingness to disqualify pragmatic advisors who not only want to save America's face but yours as well.
But it doesn't matter to you Mr. Bush. In your arrogant state you believe that history will judge you and judge you well.
Sir have you looked at your record?
It's one that won't be looked upon with great admiration in the coming years.
What do we do now, Mr. Bush?
We've heard now that if your plan miraculously suceeds, are troops would come home.
Mr. President do you think we're stupid?
The purpose of this bogus war in Iraq is to spread American dominance in a region where the people overwhelmingly despise us.
The plan will not work.
It's time to end this silly game that you've created.
You not only owe to the office of the Presidency, but to your fellow American citizens.
The same American citizens that you're so eager to send to a violent death in Iraq.
