What the hell is going on with the decider? With 71% opposing him, I thought anyone with a brain as large as a peanut should know that the majority of people is opposing his policy. Is the decider becomes a dedicated servant for a small portion of the American population. I wonder...
With the ever increasing bloodshed in Iraq, and the beginning of the so called surge of American troops, the decider basically ignores all opposition and acts like a dictator and moves forward with his escalation plan. 4 years into the war, we are not catching Bin Laden, no WMD found, more than 3000 soldiers died, billions and billions wasted, I have no idea what is going on with this insanity, the only logical conclusion I can come up with is that Mister Bush is only serving the 30% of people that is still supporting him, and ignore the rest of us.
Now the Bush and Cheney are more blatantly lie about the war, check out the NY Post Frank Rich,
Asked by Chris Wallace about the White House’s decision to overrule commanders who recommended against a troop escalation, the vice president said, "I don’t think we’ve overruled the commanders." He claimed we’ve made "enormous progress" in Iraq. He said the administration is not "embattled."
Yes, you don't overrule them, but you fire them. This is classic, fire those disagree with you, and surround yourself with yes-men. And what do you mean by "enormous progress", 34,000 Iraqies died is a progress ??
President Bush was on "60 Minutes," claiming that before the war "everybody was wrong on weapons of mass destruction" and that "the minute we found out" the W.M.D. didn’t exist he "was the first to say so." Everybody, of course, was not wrong on W.M.D., starting with the United Nations weapons inspection team in Iraq. Nor was Mr. Bush the first to come clean once the truth became apparent after the invasion. On May 29, 2003 — two days after a secret Defense Intelligence Agency-sponsored mission found no biological weapons in trailers captured by American forces — Mr. Bush declared: "We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories."
This is ludicrous, the decider can say this in a straight face in front of the American public, it is a outright lie, and as Frank Rich says, "call the White House on its lies." I have a lot of respect for the office of the presidency, but the decider really has destroyed the office of the presidency. The only thing I can say is that since decider only serves a small portion of the public, he really does not care any more.
