I shall remember Molly for a long, long time. I shall remember her as brave, bright, funny, and passionate. I shall remember her wit and the comfort I found in knowing that she was there fighting to get the truth out. She loved this country so much. She laughed, she taught, and she fought. She made the country better. She made us all better.
Thank you Molly! Allow me to thank you first on behalf of women. Allow me to thank you on behalf of men. Allow me to thank you on behalf of children and elders, the rich and the poor, Americans and all citizens of the world. Allow me to thank you on behalf of Americans who will be born in the future. Thank you so very much.
Go in peace.
We will miss you but we will pick up your pen and we will raise your strong voice. If you don’t need your wonderful wit in the next world, please leave it to one of the wise women who is still among us. We do need it still.
You led us for a long time and helped to bring us to a better place. You have inspired and challenged us. We will stand up now. We will take it from here.
Thank you for giving us so much of yourself. Thanks for teaching us how to fight back with intelligence and humor.
Molly, rest now, Go in peace.
But if you happen to encounter a creator out there, please straighten her/him out. Why do we have to have war, pain, death, loss, poverty, hunger, pestilence, famine, and Bush?
I love you Molly. I never met you but I wish I had. I shall remember you very long and very well.
