How does anyone without health insurance afford health care?? How?!
I've diaried about my heart-attack before and now I want to hit you with the results in:
- what was billed to my insurance company,
- what was adjusted by my insurance as billable,
- what was paid by them, and
- what is being charged to me.
Just to rehash the events:
- I had a heart attack two years ago and am now hypersensitive to any chest discomfort
- I felt a strange sensation and went to my cardiologist to determine if I have another clot
- I also went to my GP who thought it could be esophageal spasms due to acid reflux
- Endoscopy found some evidence of reflux
- Eventual cardiac-cath found an 80% clot in my right coronary artery (RCA)
Over the fold are the tabularized costs for all these tests and the final coronary intervention. What I eventually want to know is ...
Who in the hell can afford this w/o insurance?!
