Why do we even bother asking the question? With info like this in a report from the Guardian out of the UK, it looks like a moot point! Who cares! We will all freeze to death long before we bake! With this report, http://www.commondreams.org/... it sounds like we have about 40 years (or MUCH LESS) before we've used up all the oil anyway...heck, we're gonna nuke each other off the face of this earth long before we can be flooded from it!
Check out the link to the article that states that we have already passed peak oil, the point at which half of our reserves are left. It's all downhill from here!
Unless we put significant resources into finding other fuels and ways of running our world, we are doomed to run out and then, who will care what the weather is doing? Why aren't we talking about THIS? Why is our P-resident so quiet on this one? What CAN the oil companies be thinking?
Do they have some magic solution in their hats which they will pull out just as they think they've milked us of all the money we have left in us....my pockets are getting slimmer and slimmer. How about YOURS? Could they really be wasting time and energy arguing about global climate change when they know that we are racing toward a world that has no way to fuel cars or heat houses? Do they already realize that all they have to worry about is keeping us tied to fossil fuels, so they can continue to rake in the profits?
Where will THEY go? Do they have a plan to survive the end of oil? Surely, we ALL know and don't debate that it is a finite resource!!?? So, why aren't we talking about THIS....a problem we ALL can agree on and work toward solving. What GIVES?
