Hey all! It's Tuesday night and time for the DIDS, short for "Damn, I Did Something." It's a chance for all of us to offer up the cool and awesome things we have DONE in the past week.
The Kendrick men and I just came barrelling into the homestead after a tasty dinner at Tijuana Flats, the newest eatery on our main drag. We found ourselves in the middle of a big ol' party with a marching band, cheerleaders, and balloons galore--spirit night for a local high school. Now I find myself dancing with the boys in the living room. Nothing like a Tuesday night full of celebrations! (And, no dishes to wash after dinner!)
No big, amazing DIDS spring to mind tonight.
The past week or so I've been focused on the tasks at hand: grading papers, folding laundry, washing dishes, picking up drycleaning, calling parents of failing students (end of grading period is upon us!), collecting MORE papers to grade, writing a letter to my grandmother, talking on the phone to family, scheduling a haircut, watching soccer games, writing letters of recommendation, etc.
Though we've been busy, I haven't been getting to stressed about it all (though, I may sing a different tune next week when grades are due).
Some weeks I suppose staying afloat on life's sea of responsibilities is a pretty big DIDS in itself.
So, what amazing things have ya'll done, big and small, in this past week?
