What is a MEGA Meetup, you ask?

The MEGA Meetup is an opportunity for local progressive organizations, grassroots activists and the netroots to meet, exchange ideas and brainstorm about issues of concern to us all. We'll talk informally for the first hour or so, then have a short 30-minute program where a rep from each group will describe their mission and, if they want, provide suggestions of how we might all work together. The bigger, long-term goal of the MEGA Meetup is for progressive activists and the netroots to coordinate our efforts as we move toward the '08 elections (and beyond).

A MEGA Meetup is way overdue, no?

Tasty food will be provided by Eating Liberally(donations appreciated) and beer and wine are available at The Tank's cash bar.

A Laughing Liberally performance is scheduled for 8:30. If you would like to stay to hear some great Liberal comedy, stay for the show, which begins at 8:30. Tickets are normally $10, but are ONLY $5 for Meetup Attendees. For line-up and more info check out laughingliberally.com.
