As we know from JLFinch's excellent diary, T. Boone "Chicken" Pickens has reneged on his offer of $1 million to ANYONE who could prove ANYTHING the Swift Boat Liars claimed was wrong.
Looks like Boone Pickens just got proven a liar. He had to CHANGE THE TERMS of his deal, because he knows he just lost the bet!
Among the frantic backpeddling, Pickens inserted this brand new "challenge":
I now challenge you to make this commitment: If you cannot prove anything in the Swift Boat ads to be untrue, that you will make a $1 million gift to the charity I am choosing -- the Medal of Honor Foundation.
This group is probably a reputable charity. But why did Chicken Pickens choose this one over others?
Well, for one thing, at least one director is a virulent anti-Kerry wingnut. Just a guess.
Okay, CMOHF did bestow its first Circle of Honor award on Paul Wolfowitz in 2003.

But that doesn't mean the group itself is partisan.
But the board membership, well, that's a different story.
One of the directors, in fact the Chairman of the Board, is Wallace Nunn, who - surprise ! - is also on the board of David Horowitz's Freedom Center (formerly the Center for the Study of Popular Culture), and serves on the board of the SBVT-supported* Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation, which tried to sue JK a couple of years back:
"Mr. Nunn currently serves on the Pennsylvania State Board of Education, is Chairman of the Board for The Center for the Study of Popular Culture, and is Chairman of the Board for the Medal of Honor Foundation."
Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation
Oh yes, Nunn was one of the big backers of Carlton Sherwood's slanderous movie:
"Nunn was a financial backer of the film ... ."

What's the connection with Pickens? Not sure. But there's a definite connection with SBVT spokesnutty John O'Neill. He serves (or did serve) on the board of the Horowitz foundation with Nunn:

So once again .... why did Chicken Pickens "pick" this one?
Well, maybe it was actually O'Neill doin' the writin' ... and the pickin'. Also just a guess.
