A man described as having a bomb strapped to his chest took four hostages at Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign office in Rochester, NH. The most recent reports are that all the hostages have been released and New Hampshire police are now negotiating with him for his safe surrender.
Senator Clinton is in Washington, DC at this moment and was never in any danger.
The hostage taker has been described being in his 40's with salt and pepper hair (I know what you're all thinking, but I swear, I was at work here in Massachusetts the whole time. I have witnesses.).
I know I'm going straight to the 9th circle with no stopovers or transfers for the first words that came out of my mouth when I heard the news: "Dear God, let him not be a Democrat."
He's been reported by someone claiming to be his son-in-law say that he'd asked for road flares last night so it could prove that that's what he has strapped to his chest. Let's all hope and pray for a satisfactory outcome.
(Here's a link to a live stream of WCVB TV here in Massachusetts. There's about a 30 second delay between this and the live telecast.)
Update: WCVB TV is now saying that there are still two hostages inside.
