Here’s an interesting bit about Dennis Kucinich’s Articles of Impeachment against Dick Cheney that I present without any explanation whatsoever. Only several questions!
Recently, Kos has written several impassioned posts in support of Donna Edwards, a very popular netroots candidate running in MD-04 against Democratic incumbent, Al Wynn, who is described as being one of the most corrupt, Bush enabling, sleazebags in Congress. Apparently, Nancy "Off The Table" Pelosi has been helping his fundraising efforts as part of what Kos calls the "incumbent protection racket."
Now, being from the Left Coast, I don’t know that much about either Edwards or Wynn, and I have virtually no reason to argue with Kos’ recommendation in this race, but I did notice, when I looked at Kucinich’s website, that the last name on the list of 21 cosponsors of H Res 333 belongs to Rep. Albert Wynn (D-MD)
So what gives? Does anybody know where this is coming from? Is Al Wynn more afraid of Kos than he is of Dick Cheney? Is this a (small) moral victory for the Netroots? Does he really support impeachment of Cheney, or is he just willing put his name on the resolution to trick a few progressive voters into sticking with him over a shining star challenger?
Just curious!
