So, this wonderful article by Bob Cesca on the Huffington Post today tells it exactly as it is; the Democrats not only dropped the ball, they punted it on first-and-ten at the 50-yard-line.
I commented to Mr Cesca
Well written and well said, Mr Cesca! You covered it all.
And, just when the Dems thought they had 2008 in the bag, if/when they continue to drop the ball like this, they will further help the cause for which I have been hoping ... to induce the birth of a third party into our political system.
Let's raise our glasses ...
- To the Republicans in Congress - like Lindsey Graham - who blindly go wherever this corrupt Bush Administration tells them to go.
- To the Democrats in Congress - like Chuck Schumer - who live down to the expectations of Republicans who regard liberals as weak, spineless and bed-wetters.
Keep up the shit work, fellas. A third party in our system, if not a fourth, is what we need and you exemplify & amplify that need every day when you behave the way you do.
Now, another thought of what the Republicans might/can do to improve their changes in 2008 ...
... Republicans impeach Bush & Cheney. Hell, we know that Republicans aren't averse to throwing their own under the bus, right?
Sure, nearly three-quarters of Americans feel we are headed in the wrong direction. But, aren't Americans just fed up with indecision more than anything?
If the Republicans impeach Bush & Cheney - whether you think it can happen or not - IF they were the ones to impeach these two criminals, what would become of the Democratic Party's chances in '08?
