Meanwhile...at the North Poll, Santa is going over his last preparations for his Christmas Eve run...
"Hmmmm...Apparently, 8 Christmas-hating Democrats voted against, Christmas, Christians, freedom and puppies and for Muslim terrorists. Some other Scrooges just voted "present" or didn't even turn up at all for this VERY CRUCIAL AND IMPORTANT VOTE!
Where's the list of those that were naughty and those that were nice? Here it is! Hmmph...well now...We know who's getting a nice shiny fire engine and who's getting a lump of coal in their stockings, don't we? HO! HO! HO!"
Santa takes a big swig of cocoa.
Join Santa for more after the fold...
"Hmmm....wait a second here...let me see that list again...

"That's funny. I thought I saw his name in there.
Let's see...I thought I put it someone around here. One of these days I'm going to have to clean up this desk..Ah! Here it is.
Introduced: Dec 6, 2007
Sponsor: Rep. Steve King [R-IA]
Hmmm...So apparently Rep King was so concerned about Christmas and the oppressed state of Christians that he introduced the Christmas Bill but failed to actually vote for it, after voting "present" on the Ramadan bill.
Why didn't he have time for it I wonder?"
Santa ruffles through some more papers on his desk...
"Well, maybe it's because Mr. "Christmas is VERY important" was skipping the vote because he was out politicising the "scandal" and heaping scorn on the anti-Christmas Democrats on Fox News? Then bragging about on his very own website?
"Appearing this morning on the Fox News Channel’s Fox and Friends, King said, "The [nine] naysayers didn’t make it to the floor to debate. I would like to know how they could vote Yes on Islam, Yes on the Indian Religions and No on Christianity when the foundation of this nation and our American culture is Christianity...I think there’s an assault on Christianity in America."
"Now Stevie. I'm so disappointed in you! At least the "naysayers" showed up to vote, unlike yourself on YOUR OWN BILL! I wonder what made Steve hate Christmas so much?"
Santa reads further on.
"What's this? Then King goes on Alan Colmes’ radio show and declares that we should teach Christianity in schools?
If you teach American history, you cannot teach it without teaching Christianity.
"So. On this VERY IMPORTANT bill, little Stevie sponsored it but can't even be bothered to show up to vote? Well, he certainly managed to show up to vote "present" on the Ramadan bill! And now he's out using the holiday to push for his own selfish political purposes?"
"We'll have to make sure we have a very large piece of coal picked out for Little Stevie this year. He's been a very bad boy."
