Which Republican family is winning the all-important dog abuse primary? Huckabee, Guiliani, or Romney? Follow me below the fold to take the poll!
Here are the links:
The David Huckabee dog-killing; the Judy Giuliani dog-stapling; the Mitt Romney dog-strapping.
And many other incidents of Republican animal abuse and general animal kinkiness:
We’ve got Rick Santorum’s obsession with "man on dog" sex, we’ve got Bill "Hello Kitty" Frist stealing cats from the pound, treating them like pets, and only then dissecting them, we’ve got George Felix Allen "shoving" a severed deer’s head into a mailbox, and we’ve got one Janet Rowland comparing gay marriage to a man marrying a sheep.
And last but not least, we’ve got Bush himself blowing up frogs by shoving firecrackers up their ass and lighting the fuse.
I'd say it's a disturbing trend. Why do Republicans hate animals?
Oh, and to those who say, look, it's only the families, not the candidates:
Look, these guys run on family values. So, it's only fair to look at the values that their families have; torturing animals isn't one of my values, but maybe IOKIYAR.
And how the families react is important; Huckabee, for example, runs Arkansas like a personal fiefdom, and later fired the State Police Director for not helping him out with his son's little problem.
Finally: Suppose a family moved in next door to you, and you found out the kid killed a dog. Would you want them living next to you? Well, these families want to move into the White House!
Say, do you suppose there's any connection between how Republicans treat animals, and their willingness to torture people? Just asking...
