Let me start this off by saying I like Allison Stewart and love Keith Olberman. It's the only show I can go to that actually talks about important issues like the FISA immunity crap and Bush's Neanderthal torture chamber administration.
(Note: I don't typically post diary rants but this needs to be said)
So it came with great shock last night when the LEAD story was an analysis of how far Bill walked away from Hillary to sign autographs at a local store.
It was a whole segment parsing the CLINTON'S interaction and making some kind of scandal out of a meet and greet.
Even mocking Magic Johnson - not reporting what he said buttotally dismissiveof a man who has done a lot for the HIV/AIDS community and minority areas. But mentioning that would be too serious wouldn't it?
I sat in amazement as Allison Stewart and Schuster (who I also like, but he's going off his rocker hanging out with Hillary-hater tweety too long) saying how she had a "bad" day because, according to them, Bill walked around a little too far from Hillary.
Is this the kind of crap we expect from Countdown as it's LEAD story?
Is this reporting or some kind of illogical spin to keep up a narrative in the press?
I hope Olbermann awards his Tuesday show "Worst person in The World" when he gets back because it's been hijacked by the Hillary Haters.
Obama is getting a free ride - - and we are all screwed if Obama gets a free pass and we leave the scrutiny up the right-wing media and noise machine.
We KNOW Obama will be dissected piece by piece -- and the media now who is being all cuddly after Oprahpalooza and looking for anything to bash Hillary over the head with will start following the FOX/Murdoch lead (like they did with Kerry) and begin reporting anything and everything negative the Republicans say. Mark my words.
And crying "they're being mean" or "they're saying his full name" is not going to help.
Very disappointed in Countdown and Stewart. And we are all going to be paying for it in the general if Obama is the nominee.
