"Mayan Express"
There are some new developments regarding the diary I posted on a Florida based Gulfstream II jet aircraft # N987SA that crash landed on September 24, 2007 after it ran out of fuel over Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It was carrying a cargo of several tons of Cocaine when it crashed. According to the Spanish language edition of the Miami Herald as well as other sources this same jet had been used by the CIA on at least 3 rendition flights from Europe and the USA to Guantanamo's infamous torture chambers between 2003 to 2005. This particular Gulfstream II jet aircraft # N987SA was famous in Colombia because it had been used for several years to extradite hundreds of suspected Narcotics Traffickers from Bogota to the USA to face trial in American Courts.
There is also a huge FAA LOOPHOLE which enables DRUG RUNNING operations to get away scot free I recorded this 55 second video which explains it from a MIAMI radio show.
Cocaine Jet That Crashed in Mexico Part of Cowboy Government Operation, DEA Sources Claim
By Bill Conroy
December 19, 2007
The Gulfstream II jet that crash landed in the Mexican Yucatan in late September carrying close to four tons of cocaine was part of an operation being carried out by a Department of Homeland Security agency, DEA sources have revealed to Narco News.
The operation, codenamed "Mayan Express," is an ongoing effort spearheaded by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the sources claim. The information surfaced during a high-level meeting at DEA headquarters in mid-December, DEA sources familiar with the meeting assert.
Those sources have requested anonymity out of fear they will be retaliated against by the government for revealing the information.
The operation also appears to be badly flawed, the sources say, because it is being carried out unilaterally, (Rambo-style), by ICE and without the knowledge of the Mexican government — at least it was up until the point of the coke-packed Gulfstream jet’s abrupt impact with the Earth.
"This is a case of ICE running amok," one DEA source told Narco News. "If this [operation] was being run by the book, they would not be doing it unilaterally" – [without the participation of DEA] – "and without the knowledge of the Mexican government."
The fact that the Gulfstream was forced to ditch over the Yucatan after being refused landing clearance at two Mexican airports is strong evidence that this operation, if ICE operated as alleged, does not have the proper controls in place, law enforcement sources told Narco News. If the operation was being adequately monitored and controlled by U.S. law enforcement, in coordination with Mexican authorities, the jet would have been directed to a safe landing zone, they add.
Several people were questioning this story because the cargo capacity of the Gulfstream II is officially only supposed to be able to carry a load of 2.8 Tons yet it reportedly crashed with 3.3 Tons of Cocaine. Well I did a little research and found that a modified version of the Gulfstream II is used by both the United States Military and NASA.
C-11 / VC-11 Gulfstream II
The C-11 is a military modification of the commercial Gulfstream II aircraft, manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (GAC) Savannah, Georgia.
The Gulfstream VC-11A is used as a small transport by the Coast Guard. It is based on the twin engine Gulfstream that is used in commerical aviation.
The C-11A Shuttle Training Aircraft (STA) is a modified Grumman American Aviation-built Gulfstream II executive jet that was modified to simulate an orbiter's cockpit, motion and visual cues, and handling qualities. It is used by Shuttle flight crews to practice landing the orbiter. In flight, the STA duplicates the orbiter's atmospheric descent trajectory from approximately 35,000 feet altitude to landing on a runway. Although the STA is much lighter and smaller than the Space Shuttle, it simulates, with some trajectory following error, the aerodynamics of the Space Shuttle. The orbiter differs in at least one major aspect from conventional aircraft; it is unpowered during re-entry and landing so its high-speed glide must be perfectly executed the first time -- there is no go- around capability. The orbiter touchdown speed is 213 to 226 miles (343 to 364 kilometers) per hour. There are two STAs, based in Houston.
There is also a difference between the US TON and the METRIC TON which may or may not explain some of the discrepancies concerning the weight of the Cocaine. 3.3 US TON's is the same as 3.6 METRIC TON's.
Since I felt most people were aware of US government drug smuggling covert operations I was surprised at the response this story received not only here but also on my YOUTUBE channel where one of the torture jet videos became a top 20 viewed Video although it has now dropped to 57. If anyone is interested in listening to the entire 20 minute interview concerning this jet here is the Mp3. This has all happened before the last time back in the 1990's the news clippings and video below explain that incident which was featured on 60 minutes.
