Today's NY Times has the story of a recent string of terrorist attacks in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A rash of attacks on abortion and family planning clinics has struck Albuquerque this month, the first such violence there in nearly a decade....
The attacks came just weeks after the Albuquerque clinic run by a nationally known abortion provider, Dr. Curtis Boyd, was destroyed by arsonists on Dec. 6.
Yet, the New York Times refuses to describe the attacks as acts of terrorism, despite the fact that act allegedly committed by these anti-abortionist clearly fit the bill, as described by Chapter 113B of Part I of Title 18 of the United States Code
activities that involve violent... or life-threatening acts... that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and... appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and... (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States... [or]... (C) occur primarily outside the territorial jurisdiction of the United States..."
