From this story in the Coloradoan today:
Another local Republican is considering a primary election challenge against Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave.
Eric Eidsness, a Fort Collins resident and former appointee of President Ronald Reagan, on Tuesday told the Coloradoan that he plans to form an exploratory committee in the next couple weeks to take a closer look at the race.
"I've talked to a number of people who are interested, as I am, in a change of leadership," said Eidsness, 60. "There are a lot of disaffected Republicans in the region who feel the party has left us.
"I'm trying to reclaim my party."
In the article, Eidsness rejects Musgrave's gay-hate amendment, and supports a woman's right to choose. He says he's a 'fiscal conservative', so it looks like he's trying to get the disaffected libertarian vote, tired of the GOP pandering to the Fundies obsessed with "gangs of gays and lesbians".

Here was
em dash's take over @ SoapBlox Colorado:
Eidsness' stances could spell big trouble for Musgrave in a district where moderate Republicans and Independents reign supreme:
- pro-choice
- opposes Musgrave's Federal Marriage Amendement
- self-described fiscal conservative
- supports state's rights over federalism
- concerned about lax immigration policies
- feels Homeland Security is not taken seriously
- Vietnam veteran (Navy CO)
And the money quote:
"We've done this war on the cheap. I see this as Vietnam all over again"...
Hehehehehehehe! This is gonna be fun.
Yup, it is going to be fun. These GOoPs can fight each other and give Paccione all the ammunition she needs come general election time.
