Maryland police stumbled into an Annapolis Maryland man who spent years raping his step-daughter. Customs stopped him while he was re-entering the country. He continued to rape her throughout her teen years. DNA tests match him to her oldest child. She gave birth to her child when she was only 14.
Just like if he had studied the How to be Abusive handbook, he told her "if you tell, noone will beleive you" and "people will think you are lying". Unfortunately, without that DNA test, he probaby would have been right. He would have had some lawyer "prove" her to be "lying" or a "slut" or "crazy".
For some fucked up reason, these types of defenses are still typical. This story is not unique. Assholes like this guy are way too common. Two more stories below.
Recently, a man was told to "just stay away from her(his daughgter)" while he was being released on bail after sexually abusing his daughter for years. What are the chances of that????????
A few years ago, a man in Laurel MD was shot by his wife when she found a video tape he had made of him raping her daughter. The girl had previously tried to report the abuse when she became pregnant. The man belittled her in court. He used the court to force her to "take back" her story of abuse. Later, after he was shot and killed, tests proved that he was the biological father of the girls child.
I am sick of hearing about how hard it is to prove rape. These girls were all below the age of consent. A 14 year old girl being pregnant is proof of rape. Someone needs to listen to these girls. Find out who the father is and there's your answer.
Too many times, absolutely noone is on the side of a child who's been raped. Since most children who are sexually abused or raped are attacked by those who are charged with caring for them, they are often forced to return the nightmare they spent all their courage on escaping. What a horrible thing to impress on a developing mind.
The police in the most recent story mentioned above had this to say "It was part of the routine process when he was coming through customs," he said. "He came up wanted. That's how we got him." They took over 20 years to arrest him.
