I have been reading with interest the rants about the Oil companies.
I feel this is a smoke screen to the real unscrupulous behavior of the banks.
I understand that many of the banks are privately held. so much of there profits go unreported.
and that the oil companies are operating at a 6-8 % return while the banks are averaging a 30 % return.
If you ask me this is way above the normal amount of profit. How come there are no calls for a windfall profit tax on this group of leaches. I dont know about you, but the rise in banking fees has really cost me.
I swear they have a computer program that waits to clear a check at the time that will cause your account to become overdrawn. bamm there is a $35.00 charge for the account being over by .79 or better yet run the big draft first so that the other smaller checks are all bounced. 4 X $35.00 = big profits. I know this is a common practice. Here is the new one I love the most. I just paid a friend for doing some work at my house. Wrote him a check for his services. He trots down to the bank that the check was drawn from. Cashes it, and they charge him $7.00 for a check drawn from there own insitution. WTF. How come no one is howling mad about the ride to the cleaners that the banks put all of through every single day. let me also state that that check was for $65.00.
So I will add a poll to ask the questions that are not being asked
