Yesterday a bill was introduced in Philadelphia City Council to repeal campaign finance limits that they enacted just three years ago. Mayoral candidate Michael Nutter immediately denounced the bill and called upon council to leave the limits in place.
If you're as outraged as Michael Nutter and you agree that Philadelphia City Council should not gut ethics reform in the middle of a mayoral campaign, we need you to take action today.
Please ACT NOW by signing this petition to tell Philadelphia City Councilmembers they must vote "NO" on repealing campaign finance limits. We’ll send the petition and your names to each councilmember.
After you sign the petition please send it to your friends and family members and ask them to sign it as well. We need to collect as many signatures as possible to show City Council just how many of us oppose this attempt to repeal campaign finance reform.

As Michael said yesterday, "Philadelphia residents should be outraged by this back-door attempt to return to the shameful past that led to campaign finance reform. That reform was in response to over 25 indictments - and still counting - by the US Attorney’s office, which uncovered evidence of kickbacks and other actions by City officials trying to help large donors."
