Short diary but very, very important info for anybody trying to understand the situation in Iraq.
- According to Stephen Hadley, Iraq is not a "civil war". It is in fact, a "war against civilians." That's right folks! A "war against civilians"!! Boy do I feel stupid. Here I thought civil wars involved civilians. But no, according to Hadley, who learned this from some Iraqi guy(can't remember who). Iraq is a "war against civilians".
- According to General Pace(Picante sauce) and the chucklehead that replaced Rummy(I forgot his name already. Oh yeah Gates.) Iraq is almost a "civil war" but isn't because(wait for it...wait for it...), it's "far too complex" to be a "civil war"! DAH-DAAAHHH!!! See it would be a "civil war" if only two sides were fighting each other. But since there is like 5 or 10 or whatever it's not a "civil war". Also, they explained that if it was a "civil war" then there would be different factions of the Iraqi military fighting each other. (Like the Shi'a would be killing Sunnis. Oh wait...hhhmmmm?)
Anyway, I feel like my IQ has dropped more from watching that press conference on C-Span than it did from using meth daily for 11 years. How degrading to make a guy like General Pace get up in front of the press and try to twist words, split hairs, shuck-n-jive and overall look like a lying douchebag. The guy's a fucking hero and because he was ambitious enough to take a job for the neo-cons he gets reduced to a little boy lying about stealing a cookie. When will this dog and pony show end?
