Today Oprah just had a show about child molestation. One of the guests on the show was Bill O'Reilly, who attacked the state of Vermont for not passing tough laws against sex offenders. O'Reilly urged fathers to tell their children that "they will protect them against sex offenders".
Anyway, though, as I was watching the show, I was hoping for Oprah to ask him about the comments that O'Reilly made about the young men who were kidnapped in MO a month ago. I wanted to hear her ask him about why he thought it was okay to attack the victims.
Unfortunately Oprah never asked those questions. Instead she let him talk about the state of Vermont protecting sex offenders. I was shocked to see Oprah give him a free forum without asking him the tough questions.
Furthermore, I wonder why Oprah would invite O'Reilly on his show, especially after his comments. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children had enough sense to disinvite him from their event in Naples, FL recently.
Anyway I was just a little shocked to see O'Reilly on a show about sex offenders, especially after his recent comments.
