In the last few days, there have been a ton of diaries on Senator Lieberman. Attacking, defending, semi-defending, fighting in the comments. I know he left the party. Idealogically speaking, some will say he left a long time ago, some will say he was never really with us.
I know he's been bad recently. He's been an enabler for Bush in Iraq and all of the related mess, and some other crap too, probably. But he's not Satan. And the vitriolic I've seen against him, while often seeming justified, also sometimes seem a little over the top. But here is the real point of this brief diary:
On a scale from 1 to 10, how helpful/harmful has Lieberman been to the progressive cause and the Democratic party overall during his Senate career?
